Background

Medibank Private Limited, ASX listed with a c.$8 billion market cap, is reviewing and engaging with acquisition opportunities in the home care/aged care sector as part of its strategy to meet the demands of Australia�s ageing population.

333 Capital was engaged by the company to support this strategy, providing advice and assistance from industry research and deal origination all the way through to deal execution. 

Our role

333 Capital has and is continuing to provide assistance with the assessment of opportunities and the management of the acquisition and due diligence process:

  • initial discussions with vendors and their advisers, advice on valuation and submission of NBIOs and negotiation of exclusivity

  • managing the due diligence team, QA and processes

  • preparing investment/valuation financial models

  • preparing steering committee papers and summaries of due diligence outputs

  • developing and managing deal strategy and tactics

The result

Medibank have successfully acquired one asset in the aged care/community care sector in an exclusive process for circa $40 million. 333 Capital continue to actively support Medibank�s assessment of potential opportunities in line with their strategy.
